Proverbs 23:6-8 English Standard Version
6 Do not eat the bread of a man who is stingy, do not desire his delicacies,
7 for he is like one who is inwardly calculating, “Eat and drink!” he says to you, but his heart is not with you.
8 You will vomit up the morsels that you have eaten, and waste your pleasant words.
This is the purpose of Proverbs; To know wisdom and instruction, to understand words of insight, to receive instruction in wise dealing, in righteousness, justice, and equity; to give prudence to the simple, (Pro 1:2-3)
The verses quoted above teach us the difference between judgment and discernment.
