New Thought

John 3

Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.” Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

As many times as I have read this chapter of John’s gospel it only occurred to me tonight that at no point did this conversation end with Nico leaving.

John 3:22 After this Jesus and his disciples went into the Judean countryside, and he remained there with them and was baptizing.

It became clear to me that Nicodemus heard everything from John 3:1 through John 3:21.

Perhaps that thought escaped me because I felt like the gospel was speaking directly to me.

I often get “lost in His Word” and everything else fades away.

I pray this is not a unique experience and that others also have this experience.
