Maturing

Psalm 37:37 Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

For a better understanding of what is considered here a perfect man, let us look to the Hebrew meaning. It is tam H8535 and is defined as complete; usually (morally) pious; specifically, gentle, dear: which is not necessarily how the world defines perfection. Also looking to the meaning of end, there is one word hidden among others which are obvious but significant. The word is issue, not having an issue but rather in the sense of fruit; e.g. fruit of the spirit.

This walk with Christ should be marked with peace issues. As I ended with yesterday with the words, “Peace is the road to maturity.” See how this verse applies to your walk with Christ.

Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

If you can find this peace of God in your heart you will discover that the next false step you are about to take will be missing that peace with God. That peace is very much a part of the lamp unto your feet.

Psalm 119:104-105 Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

The world, Satan and evil doers will do anything and everything to destroy that peace. Their cry is “if it feels good do it.” God’s peace does not scream at you. You have to seek it, know it and hold it dear.

Proverbs 3:17-18 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

Read all of Proverb 3 to discover her identity.
