Psalm 91:14-16 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Our YouVersion group talk today is about addiction, its many forms and harms. I went to my personal bible study time after listing my concerns without first going to His Word. I was led here.

The answer to any addiction is the abiding love of Christ. The answer for how God treats the threats we face can only be found in this close personal relationship. Cherish and nurture this relationship and you will find the ability to live in Psalm 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

It is the secret places of the heart that all the real work is done. If we neglect this relationship we become susceptible to external influences which are harmful if not downright deadly.

Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

It is easier to see from the high tower is it not?
