All Night

Exodus 14:19-21 And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them: And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night. And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

And the wind blew all night long! A way was prepared to escape during the night, but it took all night. Those who are chosen to be saved were sanctified, separated from the enemy even before a way was made to escape. Light was provided to mark the way to escape, to see that a way was being prepared. But it took all night.

How long did your night last? If you have not been set free, how much longer shall your night last?

We see salvation moments as being instant, that it happens suddenly, but it does not. The God of your salvation has prepared a way, but it took all night to prepare for that dawning moment.

Look around you. Is the Lord preparing a way or have you made it thru the night?

Salvation is instant but it took all night to prepare for this moment.

2 Corinthians 6:2 For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

  1. That’s the “prevenient” grace we heard of in Emmaus: God working in us, pursuing us through the long night until the “entrance of God’s word” brings light to our souls by the Holy Spirit.
You have blessed me again today!
    Thanks!
