Acceptable Love

Hebrews 1:1-3 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

God the Father appointed Jesus Christ to speak for Him. Great but how do we have a relationship with Christ sitting on the throne of heaven?

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

For those of you that might think that the Holy Spirit is just a messenger, allow me to remind you that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are One and you cannot hear One without hearing them all. You cannot speak to One without speaking to them all.

We understand that prayer is conversational. We should listen as well as speak. Relationships are not one way, they are give and receive by nature. Did you realize that reading your bible is conversational?

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

If you are wondering how you can speak into the Word of God as your part of the relationship allow me to remind you of this passage.

James 1:21-22(in part) receive with meekness the engrafted word… be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only…

Actions speak louder than words.

  1. Here’s an additional and precious thought: God not only spoke to us thru the words of Jesus, but in His very person. “He That has seen (he said) has seen the Father.”
