Luke 4:21 And he began to say to them, “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”

We live today. We do not live in the past. We do not live in the future.

All days are different just as we are different. While we all live today, what we do differs.

I have quoted Luke 4:21 as an example of the importance of a day.

Jesus announced the beginning of His ministry on earth on that day. 

Luke 4:29 And they rose up and drove him out of the town and brought him to the brow of the hill on which their town was built, so that they could throw him down the cliff.

From the very beginning, His birth, until His death on the cross, the prince of power of the air sought to kill Him. From the moment of His birth until His ascension, Jesus lived out each and every day fulfilling prophecy and doing the will of His Father.

Today it is our turn.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

We can enact those plans by faith today. Not yesterday nor tomorrow.
