Proverbs 29:11 King James Version (KJV) A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.

Not every thought is a gem.

Those of us who see the downside of everything might do well to remember this proverb. Negativity puts a damper on relationships. People will begin to think they are being devalued and that we are not listening to them. The opposite of love is not hate, it is indifference.

Romans 15:6 English Standard Version (ESV) that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

How we come to have unity is by keeping in mind that we are meant to glorify God. That which does not glorify God must be kept to ourselves. Eventually as discussions reveal truth it is seen by those seeking to glorify God. There is no upside to being overbearing.

No one grows in the Lord by constantly having their thoughts challenged. Not everything is worthy of instant correction. No child likes to be constantly corrected. It devalues them and hinders growth.

1 Timothy 4:16 English Standard Version (ESV) Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.

There are many lessons of wisdom to be learn in God’s Word. Persist in this, coming to know His Word and to learn how to apply His lessons.

Solomon said there is a time and a place for everything. This includes wisdom. When and how to share wisdom is as important as having wisdom in the first place.
