Repetition

Psalm 71:3 Be to me a rock of refuge, to which I may continually come; you have given the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.  If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Hebrews 10:22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

John 13:10 Jesus said to him, “The one who has bathed does not need to wash, except for his feet,

Our feet being washed by Jesus is a sign of future forgiveness of confessed sins.

Do all sins need to be confessed?

I would say no, but only those whom the Holy Spirit has “pricked” our conscience. I am put into remembrance of that term in relationship to the yoked animal being driven by its master. Correction is only required when we stray off the path.
