Observe is one of those words that we use as an adjective or a verb.

As an adjective we are the subject of the sentence, a voyeur.

As a verb we become an active participant, those being seen as doing.

Then there are the long term results of our actions which can be viewed in a historical sense. Psalm 105:45 hints at the differences between keeping the law and seeing the results that come from having a proper understanding of the statues and how we keep those statutes.

The final verse hints at God’s covenants and how they have played out in history. In that we become witnesses to how God’s covenants work for those who believe Him by faith and act out our lives by obedience of faith.

It is not just God who watches over us, people observe our lives and some will see us as righteous examples while others will judge us unfairly. We cannot control how others observe us.

We can only control how we observe His statues, His commands, His love for us.

Hebrews 11:6 English Standard Version (ESV) And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
