Love Him. It is that simple.
Don’t you just love the simplicity of the gospel. It is so easily understood. Why doesn’t everyone get it?
Isaiah 8:16 Bind up the testimony; seal the teaching among my disciples.
My guess is that no one saw that verse coming.
Luke 24:27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.
Jesus showed the two on the road to Emmaus how the scriptures testified of His coming, His purpose, His power, and filled their hearts with love.
Luke 24:32 They said to each other, “Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?”
The second part of Isaiah 8:16 is the sealing of His teachings.
Ephesians 1:13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,
The third person of the Trinity seals the Word in our hearts where it cannot be contaminated.
1 Peter 1:23 since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God;
The last part of Isaiah 8:16 is very important. Are you His disciple?
John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
Our love for one another becomes a witness that loving Christ is possible because they can see for themselves that it demonstrates His presence by our love for one another.
Psalm 66:16 Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul.
