Matthew 24:36-37 English Standard Version

No One Knows That Day and Hour

36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. 37 For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

Matthew 24:46

Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes.

How seriously do we take the Word of the Lord?

I asked what time is it and what season is it with all seriousness. His Word says His second coming will be like in the days of Noah. As we look around we might see that the world is reverting back to that time as we understand it. Not long ago I thought it couldn’t get any worse and then it did. If it is that season, beginning, middle or ending, it does not matter. What we are doing is what matters.

Precious few were saved from the flood. How many will be saved from what is coming next? Will it be a precious few? How many are precious few? Those concerns are beyond our control. All we can do at this time, in this season is to obey His commands. Our doing His will doesn’t end until He says “Come to me.”

This season has been full of attempts to get us to pray, remember, honor and celebrate but little has been said about doing. Television and streaming opportunities that recount the life of Jesus have been offered up. Producers have every good intention for bring His story to life.

As I watched a few I had to walk away. Over and over again I found myself saying, “That is not what the bible says.” I am no zeolite or a perfectionist, I am a lover of God’s Word and nothing but the truth brings me peace and comfort. I am not here to be entertained.

James 1:22-24 English Standard Version

22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. 24 For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like.

Those movie productions are not a mirror into the life of Jesus.

Jesus is the Word, we will find Him there and His commandments to do each day until the hour of His return.
