Christmas

Romans 14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

This is not what most devotional writers are posting today. Let us give thought to the rights of others in observances of this day.

Romans 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

Yesterday I left off “Twas” with the thought that Christmas changed for me after I was saved. I said prior to that Christmas was a secular celebration, but I did not say what it became, only that I changed.

I don’t have the right to tell you how to celebrate any day, Christmas, Easter, Pentecost, Thanksgiving, or any day, named or not.

Romans 14:22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.

If anything, I believe this, honor your mother and father while they still live, take part in their traditions and celebrate the love you share. When they are gone and you marry, you will find opportunity to create your own traditions. Do so for the sake of love for one another. God will respect the love above all else. He sent His Son into this world to save us from our sins thru the power of love.

How you do that is up to you.

From a heart of love,

Larry Perry aka HisCup
