4 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; 5 and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; 6 and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.
I was raised on the KJV and more and more churches are moving away from that archaic language.
Which service do we attend? What operations are evident and available? When we first come to Christ we do not think in those terms. The one common denominator in all this is our God, our Lord and The Holy Spirit working in all of us.
How do we know which administrative service is right for us?
Given that the Lord is in charge of our lives, then the best answer to that question is to go where the Lord leads us. In order to do that, we must learn how to use our spiritual ears and eyes to know Him in a personal way to discover His will for us.
People change churches like changing hats. They change for a number of reasons but the only justifiable reason is to follow our Lord’s directions for our lives. He will lead us where He needs us, when He needs, to both serve Him and to mature as children in this large family.
None of that happens overnight. Children have a tendency to be impatient in growing up. Impatience seeks to please self rather than God.
