Ecclesiastes 11:5 (English Standard Version)

 As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything.

Colossians 1:27 To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

God chooses what to make known, but not everything because not everything glorifies the Son.

That is a mystery, not everything we choose to do glorifies Jesus even if we hope it does.

It is God that makes the Son known.
