Declarations

Isaiah 42:6-9 English Standard Version (ESV)

“I am the Lord; I have called you in righteousness; I will take you by the hand and keep you; I will give you as a covenant for the people, a light for the nations,
to open the eyes that are blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, from the prison those who sit in darkness.
I am the Lord; that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols.
Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them.”

While seeking the Lord in where to go next with unveiling truth about spiritual ears and eyes I was led here by the words of fellow Christians. Praise God for placing me with other believers of sincere faith and devotion to His Word. We are not alone for we all were in darkness at one time and this sharing of what we see in the light is yet another declaration of His grace towards us.

God declared His intention and made it plain to those of us who have come into the glorious light. When it comes to understanding why others cannot see what we now see I hear lyrics to a song. Those words are from Hotel California by the Eagles. “We are all just prisoners here of our own device.”

When we come out of those prisons into the light we struggle to see with these new eyes. It takes time to adjust to the light of truth. Most of us were not even aware that we were prisoners, what our prison looked like and why it had such a hold on us. Then when we heard the truth being spoken by others that had been set free their words struck a chord of agreement. That chord of agreement was the Holy Spirit saying “Yes and Amen”.

Remembrance

John 14:26 English Standard Version (ESV) But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

I can only tell you how the Holy Spirit opened my ears and eyes. He will you teach how to open your spiritual ears and eyes. Your experience may not be exactly like mine but I can only speak of my own experiences.

Romans 10:17 English Standard Version (ESV) So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

First read the bible regularly. Remembrance cannot occur without being at least familiar with the subject matter. The more familiar we are with any subject, the easier it is to make it available for memory recall.

Second be humble. Nothing blocks learning faster than being a “know it all.”

Thirdly have a right heart attitude. Be sincere.

2 Peter 3:1b English Standard Version (ESV) I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder,

Those first lessons from the Holy Spirit in hearing with spiritual ears came from His stirring up my pure mind by way of remembering other passages as I read my bible. Pure in this sense is not holy but rather not distracted by the concerns of life. The troubled mind only seeks solutions and not instruction. These learning years need to be open to listening.

Isaiah 28:10 English Standard Version (ESV) For it is precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little.”

The fourth element is to be patient. Little by little, absorb and digest what you are shown. Do not over indulge.

2 Corinthians 2:14 King James Version (KJV) Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

Savor every bite and let it be known how good it tastes.
