Hearing Loss

Luke 16:1-3 And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods. And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward. Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.

I do not know if you have heard faith. If you have not we will address that before moving on to another topic. If you have and seemed to have lost your hearing, allow me to address the issue of hearing loss.

Having come to Christ we all are given a stewardship in His Kingdom. We have all received gifts which we should call “His goods”. We have been given the goods to perform that which is asked of us in stewardship. We should be aware that failure in stewardship can result in loss of position. If we fail to follow directions, He will call upon another to serve His will. If you are consistent in failing to obey His commands, why should you expect to receive further instruction?

Luke 16:10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

What causes us to stop hearing God by faith? Being unfaithful perhaps? How about if you stop listening, have turned a deaf ear to the Lord? Is there any difference between the two? How about sin? Have you placed sin once again between you and our Holy God?

Hebrews 10:26-27 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

Have you become too familiar with God and lost that fearful reverence?

Excuses Excuses

Luke 14:17-21 And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come. So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.

Yesterday I mentioned a wedding between Christ and His church. Today I would like to ask you if you have accepted the invitation to the wedding feast or have you made excuses? Please do not tell me that you did not get an invitation.

Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

If you are not in that first group invited to the wedding feast, then you are in the second group. You have been invited. If you still say you have not been invited, I, His servant am telling you that you have are invited. No excuse will be found acceptable by the Father of the Bridegroom, none.

On January 2nd ,2017 I made a commitment to simplify my writing and as a first effort addressed the issue of how God communicates with His creation. I have laid out as much of the Gospel of Christ as is necessary in order to hear God, accept His free will offering and become betrothed to Christ. The faith to communicate with God has been given to everyone in that invitation.

Do you accept?
