Walk

Genesis 24:40 And he said unto me, The Lord, before whom I walk, will send his angel with thee, and prosper thy way; and thou shalt take a wife for my son of my kindred, and of my father’s house:

Before we get into the particulars of this message, allow me to speak to walk in simple basic terms. Before one can walk, placing one foot before the other, the mind must have some objective which causes the body to act. We act and react without giving much thought to walking but at the root of every movement is an objective, conscious or not.

Now let me expound upon this opening verse and relate it to Walking in the Spirit.

Galatians 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

We walk before the Lord in the spirit. So allow me ask, since this is true, how are you to know that wherever you go, that the Lord is still behind you?

Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Isaiah 30:21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

Knowing His Word is to know Him. Know Him in quality and character so that when you hear to go to the right or to the left, you will know it is His voice. This is first and foremost in walking in the spirit and the three elements that follow are based on this knowing.

The angel is mission protection, prosper is the blessings to succeed on your mission, and most important, you will be given a mission objective, a reason to walk.

Which Is It

Ezekiel 14:21-23 For thus saith the Lord God; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast? Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, both sons and daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings: and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it. And they shall comfort you, when ye see their ways and their doings: and ye shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, saith the Lord God.

There is within scriptures the prophetic utterances of those things done and those things to be done. When we look about this present world and the circumstances of prophetic scriptures we might very well wonder which is it at this time?

Nothing says it has to be, but then again, nothing says it cannot be done. So many times we have heard men of faith make a call for repentance and the turning of nations unto God. More often than not their warnings went unanswered as nations. Perhaps there was a remnant that heeded and that was enough. Who can say? Surely not I for I know not the hearts of other men.

The larger question is that if you can see a correlation between prophetic scriptures and these present times, does if change your attitude, does it change your heart, does it change your course of actions? If there is to be a remnant for this present age, will you be part of it?

The Word says the remnant is to shine forth in a dark place and comfort those to whom they appear. Are you ready to be a remnant or do you need to change? I seek to answer that question for myself.
