PC

Isaiah 28:15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:

If you read this verse and take my PC to mean political correctness, then you miss my intentions. It is not my place to be political here. Jesus did not stand against the political leaders of His time. He was about changing hearts, not leadership. If my PC is anything, it is Probably Christian.

Can you read verses in the bible and see it working out in today’s society? Then you are probably a Christian.

Can you recognize a lie because it stands against what God has taught you? Then you are probably a Christian.

Is your first reaction to violence to think of the victim rather than turn to anger? Then you are probably a Christian.

Can you see that strength to endure comes from God and not from leadership? Then you are probably a Christian.

Can you see that my saying you are probably a Christian does not make you a Christian? Then you are probably a Christian.

Isaiah 57:4 Against whom do ye sport yourselves? against whom make ye a wide mouth, and draw out the tongue? are ye not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood.

Do your actions truly reflect the inner man? Are you true to your new nature? If you are a Christian, will they think you are probably a Christian when they see you in public?

Is it PC for me to ask who you make fun of, make sport of, ridicule? If you can be honest and say no one, then you are probably Christian, but it is not a guarantee.

Micah 2:8 Recently My people have arisen as an enemy— You strip the robe off the garment from unsuspecting passers-by, from those returned from war.

Can you see the scriptures being played out in our society? If you can, that is not being political, that is merely being correct.

Hidden

1 Kings 22:18-23 The address of these verse where hidden from me but I knew the Word. For years I searched and could not find them. Why did you hide the address from me Lord?

Now if you go and read 1 Kings 22:18-23 you will find scripture that is arguable. Many can and do argue the bible points. But this devotional is not about that. It is about the reason behind the hidden address.

Last night a young woman who struggles in the Word came to ask a very pointed question concerning the issues contained there. As I heard her read the verses I recognized the Word I had in my heart but was lacking the address.

“Praise the Lord, that he has spoken to you in this!” I told her. “I have been searching for years for this very address and the Lord has hidden it from me and now has used you to send me that answer.”

This is the way of the Lord, to take and build confidence in children that they do hear God and that God can and does use them in service to His will. She answered my plea but did not know she was used of God until I confessed my need to her.

Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

I had to wait years to hear His voice on this and when the moment came, I was pleased to edify her in that moment. It was worth the wait. The issue that awaits me in 1 Kings 22:18-23 still lies before me, but the issue of the hidden address has been put to rest.

Never underestimate God’s ability to use you in service to the saints. Do not doubt God can speak thru you.
