Stand Up

Ezekiel 2:1-2 And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee. And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.

Wow, I cannot stand without the Holy Spirit giving me power to do so. I am but dust and ash and as such have no power within myself to do anything.

To a worldly person that sounds ridiculous but to kingdom dwellers, we get it. In the spirit it is the spirit that is the generator. All power comes from above. Worldly people don’t get it. Worldly people take credit for everything except for those things that “aren’t my fault” which usually is the result of what they have done.

Worldly people don’t want to accept sin is sin so they redefine sin. It is no longer immoral to be immoral because society gets to define moral and if anyone wants to stand up against sin, then they call it immoral to be moral.

Psalm 35:12, 38:20, 52:3, 109:5 They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul. They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is. Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah. And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

What was true three thousand years ago is still true today. They say things must change but since this was true back then, nothing has changed.

I stand for He who calls me. I stand for what He tells me. I stand only because He gives me power to do so. Stand up, stand up for Jesus, ye soldiers of the Cross.

Face Down

Please read Ezekiel chapter 1 now before you continue. It is only 28 verses and should not take long.

I first became intrigued with thirty years, four months and five days. Immediately I wondered what Jesus was doing on that day of His earthly life. Oh to have a calendar to compare these two days in the life and Ezekiel and Jesus. Would that be something marvelous?

Then in verse three, a word came expressly, meaning its delivery was meant to be given by no one else. Once again, I compared the testimony of Jesus Christ, the Word, no one else could have said what Jesus said, “I AM.”

Then I got caught up in the vision and the possibilities of all those faces and shapes and wings and wheels and eyes, movement, coordination, purpose and it was too overwhelming to understand.

What could all that mean, how did it relate to the times and telling of the life of Jesus Christ or was it a thing of the spirit which no one saw during the ministry of Jesus Christ because all eyes were fixed upon Him, our Lord and Savior. What could it all mean?

And then I came to the very last line of verse 28 “And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.”

Face down with his face in the dust, Ezekiel having seen the glory of God now sees himself.

Genesis 18:27 And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am but dust and ashes:

I am but dust and ash, God has revealed Himself to me and now I can see myself for what “I AM”.

Tomorrow, stand up!
