Waiter

John 14:16, 26, 15:26 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

Psalm 27:14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

Psalm 37:34 Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

Waiting on the Lord is not about sitting around with anticipation. It is about keeping His way of serving. We are waiters and the Holy Spirit tells us what the Lord has ordered.

He only orders off the faith menu.

Assume

Genesis 27:12 My father peradventure will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a deceiver; and I shall bring a curse upon me, and not a blessing.

With this act Jacob stole Esau’s blessing. On the face of it, Jacob could be counted as a thief. Assuming that a blessing can come about by bad behavior is the wrong message. If we allow ourselves to see bible messages in this manner we lead ourselves into bad choices based on vain imaginations.

Genesis 27:37 And Isaac answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have made him thy lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto thee, my son?

Here is the essence of the lesson that the blessing could not be undone once given.

Have you become a son of adoption who cries Abba Father? That blessing cannot be undone. Knowing this and seeing the blessing fall upon you, do no assume too much in the blessing either.

“Nothing can take my blessing away, I can do whatever I want!”

Poor assumptions based on truth are still possible. King David sinned against God after his anointing and David escape punishment by forgiveness but the consequences for sin remained.

2 Samuel 12:13-14 And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the Lord. And Nathan said unto David, The Lord also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die. Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.

Our sins will give Satan all he needs to blaspheme against our Lord. We need to understand the whole truth and not assume anything that even smells of taking advantage of the blessings we receive.
