God Knows

Galatians 4:4a But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son…

God knows the right time to enact His will. Circumstances dictate when action is required and no one knows better than God when action is required.

So often we say “Lord if it be your will.” That is our hedge of protection over our personal feelings so when things don’t go the way we want them so we won’t be wounded. We want what we want without respect to God’s will or timing.

Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God:

Here is a subtle message. God was walking and Enoch joined God in where God was going. Walking in God’s will means that we have to put our earthly demands aside.

God already knows our hearts, our circumstances and our place in His plans for us. All of that is a matter of discovery for us which is only achievable if we walk with God by faith.

Yes He is always present, yes He will never leave us but the conversation is different if we stop dragging God where we want to go.

We hear God clearly when we stop talking about what we want and listen intently to His plans.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Do we want to hear His thoughts?

Prove Christ

2 Corinthians 13:3 Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you.

Allow me to rephrase this for those who seek proof.

Christ will prove Himself in you.

We cannot and should not try to prove Christ. We are asked to spread the gospel and to allow the Word to fall were it may. The work of preparing the heart to receive the word is that of the Holy Spirit. We are not to test the heart and share the gospel only with those we deem worthy. That makes us judges of damnation. That is not our responsibility.

If you want proof of Christ look to the condition of your heart and ask yourself earnestly, is it wounded, broken, tender and ready to receive?

I recently told someone that when a man becomes hungry he will seek something to eat. There is a reason Jesus said “I am the bread of life.” John 6:35

Jesus satisfies like no other. You will find no satisfaction of proof of life anywhere but in Christ.

John 12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

Romans 6:3-4 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Proof of life can only happen if you accept Jesus Christ into your heart first.

Don’t expect proof before your heart is prepared to receive Him.
